Jay Chou

Jay Chou,the most popular singer in China,He is also a songwriter,arranger and producer. Jay is the revolutionary and creative singer of Asian popular music circles after 2000.He was named as the king of the Asia pop music.

In January 1979，Jay Chou was born in Taipei County , Taiwan Province.He start his music career by album Jay in November 2000.In 2008,the lyric of his song Blue and white porcelain appeared at the college entrance examination in Shangdong and Jiangsu province,and it’s the first time that a pop singer’s lyric appeared at the college entrance examination.Before that,his lyric of snail, Shanghai 1943, listen to ma ma's words was put into the primary and secondary school’s textbook.In 2010,the global download his song ranks third in the world,only after LadyGaga and Michael Jackson.In December 2010,the International asteroid named center approved that the Number of 257248 asteroid named as Jay Chou Star.In May 2012,Jay Chou was the first one who ascended Forbes list Chinese celebrities . He have finished three World tour concerts so far,namely the Incomparable world tour concert in 2004,the World tour concert from 2007 to 2009 and the Over time world tour concert in 2010.

Besides,he participated in a lot of welfare charity activities.He sang for a lot of charity activities.During the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008,he

donated more than 42 million RMB in total.After the Yushu earthquake happened in 2010,he donated near one million yuan with Pan weibo together.In 2012,he went to the Hope primary school which was build by his donation.He paly with the children there and paly the song Daoxiang for the children.

Jay Chou was grew in a single-parent family.At his age of 14,his parent divorced,since then he was live with his mother Ye huimei.Therefore,family became the theme he often express in his song.He wrote many songs for his family,such as Grandmother,Tea Make by Grandpa,Listen to Mama’s Word. From these songs we heard the love to his family and how he love his family.

As a singer,Jay’s talent is not only in improvise ability,proficient in a variety of musical instruments and understand to music theory,but in the creative ideas on music which different from others. His creative thought make his songs are not completely the same as any kind of music,that from a strong personal style of Jay Chou.

Jay Chou is the only one who integrate R&B into the mainstream of Chinese pop music. The emergence of Jay Chou broke the stagnant situation of Chinese pop music.He break through the theme,form of Asian music. He merge multiple music material, create various song style.In addiction, Jay Chou is the first one who start the Chinese win of modern pop music,and he make a great contribution to the spread of Chinese

wind in the world.His Chinese wind song such as Hair like snow,Chrysanthemum stage are popular home and abroad.Jay hope that he can spread Chinese culture through music.Blue and White Porcelain is the most lasting appeal song with Chinese porcelain culture.

Although he has made great achievements, but he did not proud, and are not satisfied with the present achievements.He shill work hard as before.Apart from create music,he start to set foot in films and television zone.I belive that he will make greater achievements in the future.
